Basically, once you get into a long term type of relationship with a woman you have a tendency to stop trying new things and begin settling for those things that you already like.
Depending on how many things you like and the amount of variety she really needs that can keep the relationship fresh and exciting for a while.
However, just like everything else in life, change happens and things that once were great now have simply become boring because there really isn't anything to compare it with.
What makes it even worse is as a man who is hopefully with a woman that you want you have no reason to change because you are already getting what you want and you like it.
Again, part of the reason you are in a relationship for the long term is so that there is some stability and commonness involved and unfortunately that does become boring after a while.
Bottom line is as a man in a long term relationship, whether you like it or not in order to keep the attraction alive it is going to require that you "reinvent" yourself every now and then to shake things up otherwise you risk losing her entirely which also means that you will have to reinvent yourself again anyways.
